A two-day hands-on workshop exploring ideas surrounding the materiality of image making, with a particular focus on analogue photographic processes. An increased awareness of the ethics of materials and of material ecologies in practice here, specifically analogue photographic practice has contributed to increased scrutiny of the processes and tools of image making. Such scrutiny has consequently led to a desire to invent and explore new processes which are more sensitive to the environment.
Organised and facilitated by Crystal Bennes, artist and practice based PhD researcher at Northumbria University and Melanie King, artist and practice based PhD researcher at Royal College of Art, London.
